Cyborg Assassins is back! Hi this is Catfish. After a three year hiatus we are almost ready to make our live debut. It has been a long road to get to the place where we are now and we are very excited to say that we have made a lot of progress in the last few months. First we want to announce that Eric Brookman is officially part of the band. Eric is an accomplished guitarist and has spent the last couple years working to refine our music and to get this project ready to roll. We in the last 12 months we have acquired some of the gear we needed (like a Marshall 2205 guitar head) and we now have a lock out rehearsal room here in Las Vegas where we have been practicing three times a week for the past 4 months. The next step for us as a band is to find a drummer. So we are officially looking for a drummer here in Las Vegas that loves hard rock, metal and EDM music. Recent influences for Cyborg Assassins include Rammstein, Electric Callboy, KMFDM, Ministry and many others. We are looking for a hard hitting drummer than can play to a click that wants to be involved in an original music project.
In the meantime we are working on new music and hope to release a new single early in 2025. We have also adopted a new logo. We appreciate all the people who have continued to show an interest in our project and we hope to see you soon!
We are super excited to announce that Cyborg Assassins is releasing a new song on Halloween called “Dance of the Dead” to celebrate the first birthday of Frank-13, our official mascot. More details soon including Spotify Links, lyrics and a YouTube video. Special thanks to Legendary producer Bill Metoyer for making it sound fantastic! Stay tuned for more information in the coming days!
Cyborg Assassins would like to thank our friend and amazing artist Shaun Kama from Halloween Tattoos for creating the original likeness of our official mascot FRANK-13. We could not be happier about this amazing artwork to represent this project and we will be using this image as the basis of our initial NFT drop which has been pushed to January to coincide with the release of our next single, Dance of the Dead. Steampunk Woman NFTs will launch later in 2022. In the meantime, here is a little more about who FRANK-13 is and what his mission is.
Origin Story:
In the year 2367 the American Federation of States, which comprised the government of North and South America, commissioned a Top Secret program to combat the rising number of Cyborg war machines. For decades these AI enabled machines had been disrupting the fabric of society by infiltrating the government, military organizations and high profile technology companies by posing as human beings and other machines. The impact to human life and economic stability was catastrophic and a number of unintended wars resulted from Cyborg warfare activities.
The new AFS program was responsible for the production of 10,000 Cyborg Assassins, code named FRANK, a tribute to a classic literary character by the name of Frankenstein. It was not a coincidence that the FRANK program began on Halloween of that year.
Over the course of the next 20 years, the Frank series of Cyborg Assassins were very effective at eliminating the Cyborg Threat and ushering in a new era of peace and political stability.. The most famous of the Cyborg Assassins, FRANK-13, was involved in a number of high profile assassinations that saved countless human lives. Now in the year 2387, FRANK-13 continues to fight against the enemies of the AFS where ever they pose the greatest risk to human beings of all nations.

I would personally like to thank everyone who has supported me along this journey. Today marks the first step in a new era for me and I really appreciate everyone’s continued interest in the music of Cyborg Assassins!
Super excited about the release of the first Cyborg Assassins single “Steampunk Woman” on Sept 17th! Here is the link to the Spotify and iTunes pre-save:https://distrokid.com/…/cyborgassassins/steampunk-woman-2
*Please note this is a new pre-save link. The old one is no longer valid as the song got remixed again I had to upload a new song and cancel the old one.
I can’t believe it’s only two and a half weeks away. This has been a year in the making and I’d like to thank Cassandra Paquette and Kadene Kromka for modeling for the cover art photoshoot. This is the first time I’ve ever attempted photography and this is the first picture I ever took in a photoshoot setting. Thanks to Stephanie Cullen for the post production work to make this picture look so good. Because of Covid related issues, the official music video is a ways off but I will be doing a lyric video featuring pictures from this shoot the day the song launches (at least that’s the plan right now lol). Thank you to all who have expressed an interest in my new music and especially to those who have supported me over the years. It really means a lot to me and I hope the new music measures up to your expectations
I’m super excited to unveil the new Cyborg Assassins logo! Special thanks to CB Hi-Tech for creating exactly what I had in mind. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.
I’m super excited to say that the first single “Steampunk Woman” has been mixed and mastered and is ready to be released. The release date is Friday, September 17th. There is still A LOT of work to be done including the band mascot artwork which is currently being worked on by Shaun from Halloween Tattoos, the logo which is also currently being worked on, the cover art for the single, the music video and a million other details that will all need to be in place before the first song goes live on Spotify and other streaming platforms. The good news is, progress is being made on all fronts and Cyborg Assassins will be launching a series of NFTs to commemorate our first release as well so stay tuned for that.
In addition to everything I mentioned above, I am also starting preproduction on the second track, Flame Thrower, which I hope to release a couple months after Steampunk Woman. Ideally I would like to release a new song every two months but the initial onramp to that level of production might no happen until 2022.
I haven’t started putting together the band yet for live performances. I don’t anticipate starting that process until after Summer given some of the logistics with Covid and the fact that I am in Las Vegas and the heat is an issue here in terms of initially using my garage as a rehearsal studio. I would anticipate the first Cyborg Assassins show happening in early 2022.
I really appreciate everyone’s interest in the project and look forward to all the exciting times ahead. Have a great week!
